What happens to your photo
We delete our copy of your photo 24 hours after you upload it.
The AI image provider we use may keep your photo and the result for up to 55 days to check for misuse, and under its terms, it does not use paid account data to train its models. Our requests ask it not to store a separate copy.
We keep your painted artwork and print file until 45 days after your kit ships, then delete them. Our payment provider collects your shipping address at checkout and holds it, and our own copy is deleted 30 days after your kit ships.
Person figures: you must be 18 or older, and the photo must be of you, of someone who gave you permission, or of a child you are the parent or guardian of. Your photo and figure are never used in our marketing unless you say yes separately; that box starts unchecked.
For orders on Etsy, Etsy also keeps order files under its own policy.

Can I get a custom papercraft of my pet?
Yes. Foldeez turns one photo of your pet into a custom papercraft figure. We print it on cardstock with cut lines, fold lines and numbered glue tabs, and mail it flat. You cut it out, fold it and glue the tabs, and it stands up as a blocky 3D version of your pet.
Can I make a paper figure of myself or a family member?
Yes. Pick Person, upload a clear photo taken from the front, and confirm it is you, someone who gave you permission, or a child you are the parent or guardian of. You must be 18 or older to place the order.
Do you use AI?
Yes, to paint the colors and markings onto every side of the figure, based on your photo. Our own code draws the folding pattern, so the pieces line up. The build guide is written by hand, not by AI.
What do I need to make it?
Scissors and glue. Your figure comes printed on cardstock, with its cut lines, fold lines and numbered glue tabs.
Do I print it myself, or is it mailed?
It is mailed. We print your figure on cardstock and mail it flat, and you cut, fold and glue it. There is nothing to print yourself. US orders only.
What if it does not fold well, or I do not like it?
If a part does not fit when you fold it, we print and mail you a new kit for free. Every kit is made to order from your photo, so there are no cash refunds for a change of mind. Our refunds page covers a kit that arrives damaged or never arrives.
Will it look exactly like my pet or me?
It is a blocky paper figure with a painted face, so expect the colors, markings and general look, not a portrait.
